Pioneer SC-1523 Receiver Issues

I've had my current receiver many years and it's worked well, but the last year or so I've had to do a complete reset several times. The issues start with things like the picture on the connected TV start to flicker or fail to display at all, but the last issue started with the Fire Cube that is connected would not work properly. When trying to navigate to shows or adjust the volume, sometimes the Cube would be unresponsive. This went on a few days and I thought the Cube was dying, and then picture issues started up as well. Picture started flickering and then an hour or so later wouldn't display, so thought the Cube had died. Then I found that none of the other inputs were displaying, so I reset the receiver. This again fixed the video issues and now the Cube is actually working properly as well.

I really don't have the money to buy a new receiver, but I'm thinking it's just a matter of time before this one dies. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts as to what's causing these issues and whether there is anything I could do to remedy them, short of sending it off for repairs.
