Frustrating Beach Hunt

I dont get a lot of free time these days. I was into metal detecting a while back and am getting back into it. I have a Bounty Hunter 4, but also ordered a minelab xterra elite (should be in later this week).

The state beach nearby has been closed a few days this past week because it reached capacity. Its been busy. Rather than wait for the new detector I figured id go out with the bounty hunter. Ive made finds with it before so why wait.

I did 3 miles on the beach at sunrise. Both the towel line and the water line. The only hit I had in that entire 3 miles was a soy sauce packet on the surface.

While I was hunting another fella showed up with what looked like a manticure and had 3 hits immediate in an area I had already passed by.

I had it on all metal and didnt even pick up bottle caps or pull tabs.

Anyway, I digress. Maybe next week will be different.
