Proud flesh, anyone else?

I had sex at 19 weeks post op and started having some light bleeding. It lasted for three days. I made an appointment and got checked. Dr said it’s proud flesh and he feels it’s nothing to worry about. He treated it twice with silver nitrate and I am to have four weeks of nothing inside to let it heal. I’ve never heard of this before and wanted to see if anyone else has had this and what your outcome was. To be clear, it’s inside.
