S10 Jet Black — Honest Review After 1 Year

TL;DR: Jet Black does not age well. If you do “extreme sports” or work out for 1h+ every day, the S10 battery is too weak. You’ll have to charge it twice a day, so just go for the Ultra if it’s not too expensive for you. (It is for me.)

So, I do a variety of sports that could be considered extreme: kitesurfing, surfing, snowboarding, skydiving, and scuba diving.
Surprisingly, the watch can handle all of them without letting you down. The water resistance is outstanding. I’ve taken wipeouts from 3-meter+ waves, multiple times, and the watch is still working perfectly.

However, the Jet Black paint is slowly but surely coming off.

I’ve gone down to 25+ meters while scuba diving without any issues, but the built-in app can’t handle dives below 12 meters.

When it comes to kitesurfing, the watch can track jumps of 10 meters and more (I haven’t gone higher yet). It can also survive wipeouts from that height. That said, it’s always under my wetsuit, so that definitely helps.

My main issue is the battery life. After 1.5 hours of tracking a workout, you can expect to be down to around 50%.

So yeah, to conclude: this is an impressive and tough watch. It can handle a lot, and it’s still stylish compared to the competition.
Would I recommend it? Yes — just not the Jet Black, even though it’s the prettiest one.
And keep in mind: if you actually work out for 1h+ every day, the battery life is going to be an issue.

(I’ve used chat gpt to improve the readability my English is not good )
