Blind Tiger Episode 8 — "Meet The Family" — just dropped.

If you've been following the season, you've already met most of these people in passing. Episode 8 is the episode that stops and introduces them properly — the way Goodfellas introduces the Copacabana crew. Harvey Burns narrates over a montage of eight 15-second clips — each one a character, each one a role, each one a piece of the machine that has kept Harvey untouchable for the entire season.

Jerome — Harvey's right hand. Never asks questions. That's why Harvey trusts him.

Mr. Lee — The butcher on Walnut Street. A white envelope slides under his door. He burns it after he reads it. The back room gets cleaned. Nobody asks what happened. Nobody ever will.

Mae Friday — The Madame. She runs the finest establishment in Louisville. Judges. Politicians. Three members of the city police commission. A man will tell a woman things he will not tell his priest. Mae writes it all down. Every Thursday night she meets Jerome in an alley and tells him what the week produced.

Darnell and the River Kings — Darnell was the boy in Episode 1 with the apple on the stoop. The one who sent Sal to Mr. Lee's back door. He's not a boy anymore. Six blocks. Nothing moves through the West End he doesn't see.

The Undertakers — Harvey's people move through Louisville in a hearse. Nobody questions the hearse. They never have.

And the closing shot — a slow dolly across the casino floor, through the crowd, coming to rest on Harvey at his corner table. Bourbon in front of him. Untouched. As always.

Harvey's final line of narration:

"These are my people. Every one of them chosen. Every one of them necessary. None of them on any list that will ever be found."

Two episodes left.

Capone still thinks he has a move.
