BIOS posts in safe mode when enabling XMP
I built my first PC back in June 2025 after my secondhand one finally died. I didn't enable XMP at the time because I basically didn't want to have to troubleshoot anything else, but I figured that I should get around to doing it. This message comes up when I set the XMP profile to go above 5600MHz. I don't mind if the RAM won't run at it's rated speed because it was heavily discounted when I purchased it, but I'm just wondering what the limiting factor is and if I made a mistake when doing my research for parts (I didn't know about QVLs, but I heard that aren't the be-all and end-all).
My specs:
-
AMD Ryzen 5 7600
-
Asus TUF GAMING B650M-E WIFI
-
XFX Swift OC Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB
-
Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30
