I need to vent about 2025 Sauvage Elixir

I bought a 2025 batch of Sauvage Elixir from an authorised retailer, expecting at least some of that legendary Elixir performance. I’m not even chasing nuclear projection, but I wanted that one proper beast in my collection.
The opening had me fooled. For the first 30–60 minutes, it’s loud, dense and powerful. At that point, I honestly thought all the batch-performance complaints were exaggerated.
Then it just falls off a cliff.
Around the one-hour mark, the projection drops noticeably, and by about 90 minutes it’s sitting much closer to the skin. The rich, heavy Elixir presence is basically gone, and it starts feeling much more like Sauvage EDP performance.
I really wish they’d left Elixir alone instead of putting so much focus into the new Extrait.
I don’t need every fragrance to be a 12-hour monster, but Elixir was supposed to be the beast in the collection. I just wanted one.
