I stumbled across this video showing some really interesting similarities between GTA VI and Max Payne 3, and it got me thinking about how much of that DNA Rockstar might have carried over.

I absolutely love Max Payne 3. The gunplay is still one of the most addictive, visceral and fun third person shooter experiences I’ve played. The movement, shooting dives, bullet time, all of it just feels so damn satisfying and gives the game so much replay value. Stranglehold had that same crazy, fluid action too. Diving, sliding, shooting while moving and that whole cinematic flow. I love that kind of stuff.

We haven’t seen anything like this in GTA VI yet, and I know this is probably wishful thinking, but imagine if Rockstar actually has some of that DNA in Jason’s combat.

From what we’ve seen so far, Jason’s movement looks pretty methodical and grounded, which I actually like. But I’d love to see him have a more aggressive and agile side when things get serious. He has an Army background, so having that switch from being calm and calculated to suddenly becoming faster and more reactive in a dangerous situation would make a lot of sense to me.

Imagine mixing that with the movement and gunplay from Max Payne 3 and Stranglehold. Diving while shooting, sliding, quickly repositioning, taking cover, changing angles and using the environment during gunfights.

Ngl, I’d love to see that side of Jason.

What are you guys hoping for from the gunplay?
