keyword land-grab for SaaS founders - Need feedback

You can buy any word on it for permanent ( sponsored ) link for your target keyword.

All keyword ledger is public, along with price history. Current owner will be associated with the keyword. This may not help much in SEO.

Honest questions I'm stuck on. Do you get the mechanic in the first ten seconds or do you end up on the rules page? Is the $20 minimum a dealbreaker or fine once you know? And what would actually make you want to defend a word instead of just poking at it once?
