I should go with this build ?

I just wanted a tip because I was thinking of making a magic build with the Moonlight since a lot of people recommended it to me and because I want to do a thematic Ranni build, plus I have another character (my original one is on NG+3 and I wanted someone on NG+0 to mess around without so much difficulty), so yesterday I started a build like that from scratch.

I followed a guide because I was too lazy to do everything without direction and spent about 2 or 3 hours on it, until I was struggling to kill the Godskin Noble to get the +7 stone (the Moonveil was at +6) and even ran out of my sleep pots, so a doubt popped into my mind: “there are so many bosses resistant to magic, is it worth continuing with this Moonlight/Moonveil and magic build or should I grab another weapon that does other types of damage?” I even thought about getting the Sword of Night and Flame but it also does magic damage.What should I do?
