Spinoffs: cheap money grabs, or enriching the universe?

Welcome to Superlatives—the show where comics go head-to-head.

Every episode, we pick a Superlative Theme. Our editors debate over two issues that should win the title. When the arguments are done, our moderator delivers the final verdict—deciding which comic walks away with this episode’s superlative.

In this episode, Dave and Jake T. debate about the best comic spinoff ever. Wolverine (1982) and The Metabarons are put to the test. Who will Nic Nino declare victorious?
