Former Yoyo-ers, how many tries did it take for you to finally lose the weight?
i everyone.
A week ago, I started my 13th [unlucky number 13] serious try to lose weight (attempt being loss where > 15 lbs occured) (though that's just since I started tracking in LoseIt). I am a 22 year old woman (5' 8", SW: 299.7 lbs, CW: 288.1 lbs) that has struggled with my weight my entire life. Yoyo-ing has played a huge part in this. I'm so tired of thinking about my weight and body everyday, whether I'm eating healthy or not, and I swear I've done it for 15 years. I cannot believe I am still trying to overcome this "vice" and the general attitudes online toward larger people lately have not been helping my mental health. I'm debating deleting all of my social media because I just cannot deal with the constant external reminders that the world doesn't like fat people in addition to the internal noise about people hating me that I've been fighting for years. (lol, i feel like i sound so dramatic)
Anyway - To those of you who overcame yoyo dieting, how many attempts at weight loss did it take until you were successful, and was anything different with your final attempt to lose the weight?
