I’ve been putting this off for way too long, but I finally have their lore ready.

When Imaginary Friend, the friendly shadow figure first showed up last year, he had no idea what to expect. He wanted to fit in like the others, but his dark ghostly appearance and dotted white eyes made everyone afraid of him for how unsettling and cryptic he looked. He means no harm, but he only wants someone to talk to.

Once he finally saw what he looked like, he felt betrayed by his own appearance and stayed hidden for a little bit. It seemed like he had lost hope… or so he thought. One day, he met a person who went exploring near somewhere he was familiar with, and he realized that they weren’t afraid of him, catching him off guard. After that, he found hope and this pushed him to socialize more, so he kept going.

He met one, then another, and after he introduced himself more often, no one was afraid of him anymore and were happy to have him around, which completes his character arc and fulfilling his quest.

Nowadays, the Imaginary Friend can be seen throughout the Roblox Avatars universe, appearing out of nowhere for a chat and proving that he’s not as scary as everyone thinks.

While he had his chance… there was another shadow person just like him who had it worse.

The Shadow Girl, another cryptic shadow entity somehow ended up here by accident. She was a bit disoriented and tried asking the humans for help, but anyone she got near were put off by her floating hair and her glowing white eyes and they would avoid her at all costs, calling her a monster and running away.

She tried again several times, but to no avail and got fear and betrayal as a response. At this point, she couldn’t take it. This fueled her anger and she turned for the worst. Whenever someone came near her, she would lash out for being called a monster and would make the area dark around herself before disappearing without a trace.

No one knows where she went or why she’s here, but the Shadow Girl is still out there, somewhere deep in the woods in a small town that refused to keep up with modern life. Legend say that if you find an old abandoned hospital that’s deep in the woods, then you’ll definitely get an unfriendly encounter… unless you try to convince her to open up, which she won’t.

I’ll probably change the lore up a bit, but for now, that’s all the info I have about my cryptic shadow avatars.
