HA Randomly Dies

Okay, I’m kind of at my wits end here. I’ll be going about doing proper backups in the future, but here’s the situation:

I have a raspberry pi 4 running HA off of a 128gb high speed SD card. I go through the process of setting up a bunch of automations, configuring some layouts and it works well for a few months. I get in a rhythm of using it and then out of nowhere it goes offline, the supervisor is disconnected, I can’t do anything with the SD card other than format it. Both times I’ve used different SD cards. I’m kind of tired going through all of that work to just be met with a non-functional system with no way to determine what happened.

Anyone experience this before? Is it because it’s running off an SD card? Should I invest in a better system to run it 24/7?

I am happy to answer any questions you all might have (if I have them). I think if I start over again, I’m going to the AI/MCP route to reduce the amount of effort I seemingly waste.
