Out of state transfer looking to meet people
Pretty much the title. I am a student who will be transferring to UH as a junior in the B.S. Psychology program. I have a lot of questions about UH and I’d like to meet some people and make friends. I toured UH and Houston a couple weeks ago.
A little bit about me:
I am a 21 year old male from Massachusetts. Yes i know, thats far. I enjoy gaming, watching anime, cars, motorcycles, mental health research, marvel, working out, traveling/culture, music, engineering/hands on stuff, food, and cats. I plan to eventually get my PhD in Translational Neuroscience and maybe my M.S. in Psychology.
My questions:
-
How do yall meet new people? Ive read some other posts and noted clubs and organizations as well as habitual hangout/study spots.
-
What are some things to watch out for at UH. Drama I should stay away from? Areas on campus to be weary of?
-
Whats the campus lore? This question is somewhat silly. I just want funny UH stories if anyone has any.
-
I want to know this from other out of state transfer students. What was the process like transferring? How was financial aid? Any advice for getting scholarships and grants or ways to easily afford going to UH? I already know about the academic excellence out of state tuition waiver.
Is there anything else i should know? Pretty excited to move.
Also, if you want to play a game together or chat hmu.
