As a fan of both Clair Obscur and Hollow Knight/Silksong when i discovered this image this question came to my mind and now I want to make fan art of that, But I'm still stuck choosing what bug suits the best for each character. That's why I'm asking for help

These are my plans: (BE AWARE OF SPOILERS)

>!For the Dessendre family members I thought about making them all moths, using The Radiance and Grimm as main reference scale. I see the canvas influence the same way I see the infection, a dream that's corrupts you little by little with a false promisse that makes you lose yourself in this illusion. (I know the Radiance forced this on other bugs but I guess you got the idea)!<

>!Renoir: A black, red cinabar moth with design more inclined to Grimm!<

>!Aline: A golden and white luna moth and a design more inclined to the Radiance!<

>!Maelle/Alicia: For Maelle I thought about a more common bug with the apparence more simmilar to Quirrel or bugs from the city of tears or the citadel (I dont't have any specie of bug in mind, thats why I need help). For Alicia I thought about a appearance more inclined to the Radiance using a Silkmoth as reference, but them I Found the rosy maple moth, if I change the pink to red and put some strands of black It will give a better result as it would be a combinbation of Aline and Renoir colors.!<
>!Verso: A design more inclined to Grimm and being as cool as possible as child verso liked to be. For him I do not have a moth as reference but the colors would be like mostly black and red whith some white strands.!<

The more complex designs end here.

...

>!Clea: Same design principles from above!<

>!Lune: As the mage of the party I undoubtly chose a snail!<

>!Monoco: I know that there is a species of bug that carries another bug's shells on it's back!<

(This is where I'm creatively stuck)

>!Sciel: I can't decide between a red ant or a mantis.!<

>!Gustave: A more common bug from city of tears or citadel. (Not defined yet) !<

>!Esquie: I still can't decide.!<

...

That's it. I'm open to any sugestion. 😄

How Would the characters from Expeditionn 33 look like as bugs from HK/Silksong universe?
