Too nervous to VC RP

Like the title says, I'm way too scared to engage in rp with others in Minecraft servers when it involves vc. I've roleplayed before, but I generally have never roleplayed on Minecraft before. It is new territory, and so is vc rp. I'd just get too nervous like, having to stay in character without giggling in fear of being awkward, or not being able to think of a proper in character response fast enough. I may be overthinking it, but I've been avoiding a server due to my fear of this, and it started 2 weeks ago. I really want to get better at it, but I don't know where to start.
