The incredible double standard from this sub and community is why Disc Golf can't and won't ever be taken as a serious sport.
The discourse over this stupid foot fault and the INCREDIBLE double standard being set right now is 1.) what's wrong with this entire community and 2.) why the rest of the sporting world will never take disc golf as a serious sport.
The PDGA will not do anything about this. They'll let everyone holler and moan for a few days until it blows over and people move on from it.
The haters will find something else to whine about.
The rules need to be enforced. Every throw, every round. Especially at high level. Aaron followed the rules and is getting crucified for it. Not the person the seconded him. Not the PDGA. The entire sport needs an overhaul. Top to bottom.
I'm not going to comment on if I thought it was a fault or not, but I'm pretty sure it was a time fault. If we're only going to enforce rules at lower levels or earlier rounds, why have them at all? Is it petty to call it then? would he have called it on a friend? Does it matter? Rules are rules. This one was enforced.
To be honest, I'm not that invested in that part of it. This community has been garbage for a while and I'm just here to call it out. Dude had a 5 stroke lead that he let evaporate. This one thing didn't seal the deal. It sucks for him, Silas played great to force overtime.
I'm actually shocked the mods are letting so many of these threads happen. Totally trashing a player for literally following the rules? Every one of you should be ashamed.
