Is there a reason I can't place like 3 furnacrs next to eachother?

I have a wall and a approximately 6x4 area, for some reason I cannot place 3 2x2 furnace, along the 6 long wall, it keeps shifting like 1 tile forward or back but never in line.

I've noticed it with other stations being weird with placement but is there an actual reason or smth?
