Hey everyone! A while ago, I was completely lost trying to figure out the best printer and materials to start making my own proxies. Thanks to the amazing tips from this community, I finally pulled the trigger on the equipment, and I’m incredibly happy with the results!

Here is the exact gear and materials I ended up using based on your recommendations:

Printer: Epson EcoTank L4360 (Dye ink)

Paper: 230gsm Double-Sided Matte Photo Paper

Laminate: 3mil (75 microns) Thermal Laminating Pouches

Laminator: Standard A4 Thermal Laminator

Straight Cutter: Dahle 507 Rotary Trimmer

Corner Cutter: Kadomaru Pro (using the "S" / 3mm radius)

I’ve attached 4 photos of my workflow and the final product:

\[Photo 1\]: Printer settings: quality: high quality; paper: (premium presentation paper matte);

\[Photo 2\]: Running the printed matte sheets through the thermal laminator with the 3mil pouches. This really made the colors pop.

\[Photo 3\]: Comparison: Left card is official and right is proxy

\[Photo 4\]: Trimming the edges. The Dahle 507 makes slicing these incredibly precise without leaving fuzzy borders. Using the Kadomaru Pro to get that perfect official MTG curve.

The whole process of printing, laminating, and cutting was super fun and rewarding.

Since this is my very first batch, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you have any tips, tweaks, or driver settings to improve the print quality even further?

Also, my next goal is to try making foil proxies and dual-faced cards. What is the best paper and method you recommend for those without getting air bubbles or ink bleeding? Thank you again for all the help! You are the best

Huge thanks to this sub! First batch done + My setup, process, and results
