Should I main steve as a new player?

I’ve never played Tekken before, but I picked up Tekken 8 because I love boxing and I saw videos of Steve’s style and thought it looked sick af 😂

I’ve heard he has a steep learning curve and is more limited than other characters, though. Am I setting myself up for pain by learning him from the start, or should I play someone easier and come back to Steve later?

I’m not worried about maining the “best” character. Steve’s boxing style is what got me interested in Tekken.

If anyone has advice for learning Steve as a complete beginner, I’d really appreciate it!
