PSA: P&G denying rebates for multiple receipts on same account
So this will probably only impact a handful of people who overthink this whole process, like me, and want to be able to fit the entire receipt in a single picture with 40+ items on a regular Costco run and know exactly what they spent and how much they need to buy the next trip.
I did as I always do, every year, and asked the cashier to ring up all my P&G stuff separately as I had them split out for them to do this easily. Cashier, as usual, says "hey that's smart" and this time even commented saying "do you think you have $100?"
Yeah everything costs $20+ now so just needed 5-6 items I was confident.
Went to submit my receipt and see a note saying "multiple recipts for the same member id" and $0 counted when it should've been $120+ like it showed on my special P&G Receipt.
Did some googling and apparently Costco has been cracking down on this kind of behavior for members helping out non-members, but this stuff was all mine and I paid for it with the same payment method (my costco visa).
But why is P&G even policing this to begin with? I sent a nasty gram back asking for clarification why they were policing this and trying to scam me out of my rebate with a warning I was just going to take it all back, opened, if they didn't fix this.
We'll see but hopefully this helps the other 4 people out there who overthink this like I did.
