Pain post-op after removal

Post Op

Just wondering if anyone else can relate/has any insight as to when post-op pain starts to subside? I read a lot of stories on here before my removal 2 days ago, and I saw so many people say that they basically went home the same day and were back to normal the next day, and had minimal pain and that Advil and Tylenol were enough to get them through

I on the other hand am in a lot of pain all the time for the last two days, mostly really bad under my right ribs and occasionally going up to my shoulder. It hurts a lot to take even a normal breath, much less a deep one. Advil and Tylenol don’t touch my pain, only prescription pain meds do and even then it’s not fully. I’ve been sleeping sitting in a chair upright as I’m scared to even try laying down, standing up is hard enough as it is

TLDR: did anyone else have several days of moderate-severe pain after their elective removal? And what helped and when did it go away for you? Saw a lot of stories of people feeling little to no pain and I’m wondering if there are others like me out there, too
