recruiter check in?

hello,

i recently completed a 2 round interview process at a large company and i'm waiting to hear back on if i got the job or not. i'd say it went pretty well, and 3 days after my interview my recruiter reached out unprompted to tell me that the team "really enjoyed" their conversations with me and they gave me a timeline of when i should expect to hear back as they have other interviews (i was the first person to interview in the first round and i suspect in the final round as well). they also asked me to keep them updated if anything in my timeline changes.

is this a standard update ? wondering as i've done many interviews and never had a recruiter check in after the final round.
