I accidentally purchased a used item in store with my points but it was defective

I bought a morphe setting spray from a physical sephora store with the BOPIS option and it seems half empty and used. I used my points to purchase it ($10 one). I know the points aren't refundable but will they waive the difference if i choose to exchange it?
