I went out that morning to ask the Airbnb owner about tea bags. When I came back, Tia was on the porch in her nightgown. A transparent one. Sitting there in the early light, completely sensual. Natural.

I got nervous. What if the owner walked by? What if the neighbors saw?

She looked at me and said, we're tourists. We're here. We're clothed enough. Even if I wasn't, I'm just standing. And then she took the gown off anyway.

She said, I don't care if he sees. This is how we know love. This is what our bodies are for. The early morning sun. Each other. This.

We moved to the garden. Started kissing. The sun was hitting us just right. We were aware of the rooms on either side of us, hoping no one would wake up. But we didn't stop.

Then the sky changed. The rain came. Heavy. Sudden. The kind that empties the world.

Tia didn't want to go inside. Not after five minutes. Not after ten. We stayed. Got soaked. Rain on skin, sun behind the clouds, both of us naked in someone else's garden at 7 in the morning, kissing while it poured.

The rain was cold. Our bodies were warm. There was no thought. Just the two of us and the water and the sky doing what it wanted.

When we finally came in, we were dripping wet, laughing, alive.Have you ever had a moment where you stopped caring who might be watching and just lived it anyway?
