Are these symptoms of colon cancer?
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Smoker: No
Height: 161 cm
Weight: ~66 kg
I am writing to share my medical background and current symptoms to ask if you believe colorectal cancer is a possibility in my case. Thank you.
Symptoms & Current Status:
Constipation: I have always had chronic constipation, going days without a bowel movement and straining to pass large, hard stools. My stools are usually only looser during my period.
Current Issues: I can now go to the bathroom almost daily, but I still pass large, hard stools, experience stomach pain after bowel movements, and regularly see bright red blood on the stool and paper.
Medical History & Past Treatments:
Hemorrhoids: A proctologist confirmed hemorrhoids and attempted rubber band ligation, which was unsuccessful. I was prescribed Milcanor pills and PEG.
Gastroenterologist Consultation: I am scheduled for a colonoscopy in 2 weeks. My gastroenterologist recommended taking PEG daily, increasing my water intake, and limiting sugar and carbohydrates (which I am struggling to adhere to).
Second Proctologist Consultation: After what I believe was a rectoscopy, another proctologist advised keeping Milcanor for 2 months, adding anal suppositories, and reducing PEG.
Family History & Concerns:
My grandfather had colon cancer, and my father currently has ampullary cancer. Because of this family history and my persistent symptoms, I am quite anxious that there could be a more serious underlying issue like cancer.
