Do life360 tiles even work?

I have 2 tiles, one on my keys, one in my wallet. As someone who frequently misplaces things, I thought these would be helpful. So far, no.
The tile on my keys thankfully works now, but for the first week, its location was stuck on my boyfriend. No matter where he went, it was actively saying my keys were with him, even when they were in my hands. It works now thank god, but my wallet one is useless.
I lost my wallet at my boyfriend’s house. I wasn’t worried because I had its location. But whenever I tried to ring it, it would say it’s too far away??? But it was saying it was there. My wallet has been lost for a MONTH. I have looked everywhere, and no matter where I stand, the tile won’t ring. And no matter how many times I’d refresh it, it said my wallet was definitely there. I decided to put the item as “lost” on the tile app. So now all it says is lost and trying to detect it? It’s useless. I now have to buy a new wallet, ID, bank card etc. I also had cash in there as well as other sentimental items. Was it really at my boyfriend’s house or was it a glitch?
