is following unpopular or metaphorical interpretations of the Quran not allowed due to the Quran being clear ?

Question/Discussion ❔

Examples of which :

1-metaphorical interpretations of the verses that Say Adam was created from dust, which would be a contradiction to human evolution. Modern day scholars reinterpret most verses regarding human creation by saying That Adam was simply the first hominid to be bestowed a soul or be morally accountable.

2-Metaphorical interpretations regarding mountains stabilizing the earth. We know from geology that mountains are insignificant compared to our planets size or crust so they don’t stabilize it. Many scholars have posited that the verses don’t mean that mountains actually stabilize earth and they reconcile it through other ways.

I think you get what I mean, there are some unpopular interpretations especially the ones regarding human evolution. Would they contradict the verses below about the Quran being a clear book? ( from my understanding, clear book = taking literal interpretations in most cases)

Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:15)"O People of the Book! Now Our Messenger has come to you, revealing much of what you have hidden of the Scriptures and disregarding much. There certainly has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book..."— Read the full context on Quran Al-Ma'idah 5:15.2.

Surah Yusuf (12:1)"Alif-Lâm-Râ. These are the verses of the clear Book."— Read the full context on Quran Yusuf 12:1.3.

Surah Al-Hijr (15:1)"Alif-Lâm-Râ. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Quran."— Read the full context on Quran Al-Hijr 15:1.4.

Surah Ash-Shu'ara (26:2)"These are the verses of the clear Book."
