There’s a link to a post I made a few hours ago. This is an update. You don’t have to read it, I just posted in case anyone wants to read more for context. TLDR — my two aunts and I have been attempting to plan memorials for my dad. The narcissist and I have been fighting the entire time. I decided that it’s not worth it and was going to drop out. Names have been changed.

I called Abby to give her the news that I’m no longer going to work on planning the memorial. She asked if I could book the venue. She’s afraid Betty will book this extremely expensive venue she wants and make her pay for it if I don’t do this. 

I told Abby that I can’t book a venue. We have not picked the date. Becky keeps refusing to give us a date. She flies in from overseas, and can only take two weeks off work. So it’s fair that she picks the date. Becky has been promising to give the dates, but every few days, she sets a new deadline.

Abby agreed that if Becky doesn’t give us a date after the latest deadline passes, we will simply select the date anyway. This may anger Becky so much that she refuses to attend the event. 

Abby says that she guesses that we will just not have a memorial for my dad if Becky refuses to attend. WHAT? No! That’s not what happens. We have the event without Becky.

Abby says that doing that will upset Becky too much. I said that if she refuses to attend, that means she’s already angry. We don’t need to worry about that anymore. She says I don’t understand. Becky will get even angrier.

OMFG! WTF! So she’s seriously considering that we not have a memorial for my dad at all, because she’s afraid it will upset Becky. She complains all the time about the world revolving around Becky and she wants to put Becky in the center of everything.

I finally talked her into going through with the memorial if Becky refuses to attend. It should NOT be this hard.  Abby is the best ever, but she’s annoying me almost as much as Becky!!
