i just found out i have an accent

i hope this doesn’t sound stupid, because i’m aware almost everyone pretty much has one. but apparently i have a slight southern accent. i never noticed it until somebody pointed it out tbh. i thought i sounded just american. someone compared my voice to Courtney Love’s and i honestly hear it. we both tend to exaggerate with some vowels. not sure why. anyone else?
