Football Club?

I hope this is question is alright to ask here.

I recently have been getting into football. I have been going to my local professional team's matches and learning more about the game.

I would like to start following more professional teams. And I would like teams that I have at least a tiny connection to, however tenuous.

So, what team/teams would someone from Longworth* (a tiny hamlet in the Veil of the White Horse) support? I'm assuming that support for teams is at least partially geographical.

Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely? Educate me.

*I have pretty strong, and relatively recent (for my family), ancestral ties to Longworth.
