YA fiction books about rape
Hello, I am looking for books about rape or sexual assult in childhood. I prefer YA or easy to read books. I have already read: Caprice by Coe Booth, Greta by JS Lemon, Tricks by Ellen Hopkins, and Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. My favorites so far are Fighting Words by Kimberly Bradley, The Ship We Built by Lexie Bean, Girl Made of Stars by Ashley Herring Blake, and A Soft Place to Fall by Tanya Christenson.
I am interested in books where the victim has to go to therapy or court. I prefer books that are more realistic (some books end with the bad guy goes to jail forever and everything is magically fixed and thats not really realistic). Bonus points if the victim still has to see the bad guy after court or if they see eachother at family functions or something.
Other preferences but not required: female victim who is abused by adult male family member.
Thanks for your suggestions!
