I’ve been working on this for quite a while, mostly after work and over weekends, and I’ve finally got it to a point where I’m happy to share it.

local-first image editor that runs directly in the browser. There’s nothing to install, and the actual image editing happens on your device rather than uploading your images to a server somewhere just to edit them.

I wanted to build something that felt more capable than a basic online editor, so I kept adding to it over time. It now includes things like layers, text, shapes, image adjustments, cropping, local projects, perspective warp, mesh warp, liquify, exports, and mobile support. (looking to add more based on feedback)

A lot of the work has been in the smaller details too to making things feel responsive, getting the editor to behave properly across desktop and mobile, and making sure the different tools work together without the whole thing turning into a mess.

There’s still plenty I want to improve, but it’s finally at the stage where I’d rather get it in front of real people and hear what they think than keep endlessly tweaking it on my own.

If anyone wants to try it, heres my v1 release: [**filetro.com**](https://filetro.com)

Would genuinely appreciate any feedback, especially if anything that feels confusing, awkward, broken, or missing.

I built a browser based editor that runs LOCALLY on your device
