How I've stayed sane playing arena
- I rank to platinum every month and then stop playing ranked immediately. It isn't worth the one effing pack. I've quit lying to myself. I was not having fun trying to get past platinum. I am not a good enough player to get to mythic without spamming a meta deck that bores me to tears. I have a real job and a real life and I could care less who knows if I got mythic. No one cares.
- If I don't like a draft set, I just don't play it. Marvel was my favorite set in a while and I collected the whole set. I loved it. I did 2 Hobbit drafts and quit drafting Hobbit. It was bland for me. Not wasting my gold and gems.
- I spend most of my time playing unranked with decks I enjoy. Something that saves me a lot of money is building decks that use cards I already have. Because I happened to finish the Marvel set, I use a lot of decks that feature those cards right now. It's fun. I get my daily quests down that way.
- If I am up against I deck in unranked that annoys me or an opp that is slow, I just quit. Why abuse yourself? Blue control is annoying AF and I often just concede. It costs me nothing. Move on. I would rather go to the next match than spend 15 minutes having everything I do countered while my opponent waits to get their stupid wincon where they mill me in one turn.
