How to deal with this auto driver situation

For context, I am 18f and a non Banglorean , just came to Bengaluru 2 months back and am not well versed with the local culture here but I have heard that the auto drivers here are like hooligans and are also very strongly backed politically.

I had to take a local auto for a distance of 2.5 km and the driver asked total fare of 100rs, it was a bit much but I agreed because there were no other options and I am quite unfamiliar with the city to walk on my own. But 400 m into the journey I recognize a familiar point from which my stop is a very short walking distance. But on Google maps it was showing 2km for the same stop, so I asked him to drop me there and said that I will walk from there. He had barely driven 400m and was still asking for 100 rs , I told him this and payed only 30rs, he insisted on 100 again but I argued back and left after paying 30 rs. But given the nature of the drivers and their political backing, now I am really really scared that what if he finds a way to hurt me. Being a girl that fear is always there but now it just amplified even more. I payed through gpay and am thinking of paying him 70rs more. Should I go through with that or let the situation be??

Summary: auto driver asked for 100rs fare for 2.5 km but I asked him to drop me only 400 m in and payed only 30rs. Now I am scared about my safety and thinking of gpaying him the rest 70rs. Should I do that or just let the situation be??
