Cat ate gecko lizard in FL
I am located in the Tampa Bay Area in Florida and have 2 cats that we are inside only aside from being allowed in our screened pool area. Last night, one of my cats ate a gecko lizard, but I wasn’t too concerned initially. Unfortunately, now I found out about liver flukes and am concerned about her risk, how to monitor/test for it, and what treatment would look like if she gets it. I’ll be calling my vet tomorrow as well.
If we monitor and catch it early, is there likely to be long term damage?
