What can we expect next for Intel's gaming GPUs, especially the Arc B580?
Hey everyone!
I've been using the Intel Arc B580 and I'm curious about what Intel might have planned for its gaming GPU lineup going forward.
I'm particularly interested in the B580 and Battlemage, rather than Intel's professional/workstation GPUs.
What are the most likely or rumored improvements/features we could see through future driver updates or upcoming generations?
For example:
- Further improvements to DX12 and Vulkan performance
- Better performance in older DX9/DX11 games
- Improvements to XeSS / XeSS Frame Generation
- Better Ray Tracing performance
- Driver optimizations and game-specific performance improvements
- Possible improvements to VRAM utilization
- Features that could potentially be added through drivers
- How much more performance can realistically be gained from the B580 over its lifetime
- And, more broadly, what Intel's next gaming GPU generations might bring
I'm asking because the B580 seems like a very interesting foundation for Intel's gaming GPU strategy, and I'm wondering how much of its potential is still untapped.
For B580 owners: what improvements would you most like to see from Intel over the next 1–2 years?
