Smaug, Wicked Worm Dech Tech Help (Artifact/Burn)
Hello hello! My friends and I are each building a commander from the Hobbit set, and I’ve decided to do Smaug - specifically, Smaug, Wicked Worm! I’m trying to make it really punchy with an overall artifact (treasure)/burn strategy, along with a couple ways of exploiting Smaug’s ETB. Preferably, it’ll be high bracket three/bracket four - I want to do Smaug justice and make him nice ‘n scary!
Let me know what y’all think of this, yeah? I’m sort of looking for a way to replace Ancient Copper Dragon without feeling like I’m losing *too much* oomph, because as much as I like it, it’s gonna hurt my wallet to buy it, lol. (I’m thinking of just slotting in Torment of Hailfire instead? A different sort of contribution to the deck, yeah, but it could be a powerful game closer.)
Constructive criticism is welcome! Let me know what I’m doing wrong, what I might be doing right - this’ll be the first time I build a deck in Rakdos colors, so there might be some epic auto-includes out there that I just don’t know about!
