AITA for asking my friend to put out my homemade dessert at her birthday party?

I recently went to a friend’s birthday party and put a lot of time and effort making homemade cookies for her (palmiers with homemade puff pastry - took 3 days)

She didn’t ask me to bring them, i brought them just to have something to come with and i like baking

She didn’t acknowledge them when i told her I made cookies. I thought maybe she didn’t see or hear me. When dessert was put out (cake and pie from the store) i asked if i could put out my cookies too. She thought for a second and then asked if we could eat them later AKA no.

I felt really bad at that point. I later told my husband I felt bad and he said I’m making it about me and it’s her birthday and it’s the thought that counts and she was busy hosting.

I don’t even want to talk to my friend anymore I’m so upset right now.
