Unsure on transitioning due to violence/discrimination

SpoilerAdvice Needed

Hi so, you may wonder on why I don't speak to a therapist about this but I really don't have access to one that isn't a homophobic/transphobic pos, anyways I'd still like to have another person's view on this.

I'm 22 years old I've lived my entire life as a woman but I've also known I wasn't really one since I was 5. Transitioning has been a goal of mine since I came to know of hormone therapy aka 12 years old, and contrary to my hopes, my dysphoria didn't cease to exist when I turned into an adult.

My dysphoria has been incredibly debilitating in my day to day life, I can't look into the mirror without thinking of the 'what if' but I've sort of been coping with the feeling by treating my body as someone else's.

Now, i have a full time job on a very small notoriously homophobic town in Mexico that's also known for its violence against trans people. I'm afraid of getting killed and losing everything I've worked so hard to obtain during the transition process but I sometimes think it would be better if I wasn't here at all if I'm not who I really am.

So that's where I'm a bit lost, most of the times it's like eh it will pass eventually and right now I'm saving up for moving to safer place but I'm also afraid that just one bad day will take me away.

So I'd like to ask for your support with your answers to these questions:

¿Is transition even an option for me at this point?

¿Is requesting a refugee status on another country something that could work?

¿Have you lived through a similar situation and how did it work out for you?
