I work with a manufacturer that produces patches for major football tournaments — World Cup, European Cup, and other international events. Thought some of you might be curious about how these actually get made.

**The materials:**
We use TPU and silicone for most tournament patches. Why? They hold up better than embroidered patches under extreme conditions — rain, sweat, constant movement. Silicone is flexible and doesn't crack. TPU is durable and takes color well.

**The process:**

1. Design is sent (vector files preferred)
2. Mold is created (3-5 days for complex designs)
3. Sample produced and sent for approval
4. Bulk production — we can do 3-7 days for standard orders
5. Iron-on backing applied during production — ready to attach to jerseys, jackets, or bags
6. **Color-changing feature:** Some of our patches include a color-shift effect that changes under different lighting — great for special edition merchandise or collector items.

**Why you might care:**
If you run a sports merchandise brand or fan shop, custom patches are a low-MOQ, high-margin product. You can produce 100-200 units for a specific tournament, test the market, and scale if it works.

Not here to sell — just sharing what goes into making these patches. If you have questions about materials, production timelines, or how to get started, ask away👇
