As people from the outside that doesn't know either of us. What are your honest thoughts? My husband and I have been married for 23 years. The last 4 years of our marriage has had so many ups and downs. I absolutely crave affection and he hates it (giving it or receiving it). He hasn't always been that way. The first part of our marriage he was so affectionate, loving, romantic, and always wanted to be around me. Now, he would rather me go off for the day or even for me to vacation by myself. He said we've been married so long and there's always going to be ebbs and flows. He says he loves me, but his actions doesn't show it. To me, a loving husband should at least hug, kiss, want sex and want to be involved in your life. I shouldn't have to force my love on him or physically have to wrap his arms around me to get a hug. As matter of fact, he tells me all the time that he wishes I would find a guy friend to show me the affection that I need (What husband tells their wife this!?). He said it would take the pressure off of him, because he's not an affectionate guy. I told him affection like that could develop into being sexually intimate. His respose is "that's fine, it will be fun for you", "just keep the "kingdom together", meaning our marriage. Lately, I've been the one initiating sex and I get turned down frequently. He says he just isn't feeling it....What guy says that? I would understand if I didn't keep up with my body, but I would consider myself to be somewhat fit(pic attached for reference).

I voice my concerns to him about how I feel. I tell him I don't feel loved and feel like he's not interested in me anymore. His response is that he does love me, but I should not need another human being to make me feel good and also the fact that we've been married for a very long time.
