Vyvanse is perfect for me but I’m struggling a lot with task switching and it’s becoming a big issue

Vyvanse I don’t even feel when it kicks in which hasn’t happened with any other adhd med I’ve tried (ritalin long acting + short acting, rubifen,concerta) and I don’t get crashes at all from it I don’t even feel when it goes out of my body it lasts the whole day for me basically (obviously more effective in peak hours but I don’t get obvious signs it’s fading) it helps me focus a lot and quiets my brain a TON. It’s the best med I’ve tried because I got bad side effects with every other one I tried. It’s like after an hour or so after taking it my brain just functions better rather than feeling wired at all.

Now the task switching problem..

I have a very very very hard time with executive dysfunction without medication, the psychiatrist that diagnosed me called my adhd severe so it’s very difficult for me. a few weeks ago I was on 30mg about to go to 50mg because I discussed with my doctor that whilst it’s been amazing it hasn’t helped with actually doing things and I remember the other adhd meds helping with that, it was the one thing ritalin etc did do well.

It’s been a few weeks on 50mg and unfortunately upping the dose hasn’t helped with executive dysfunction. I’m hoping that in waiting for my body to get more used to 50mg it’ll kick in but I’m not sure. I cant get myself to do anything I want to do and honestly it’s hard to even want to do anything. For some reason I find I have an even harder time getting myself to do things on vyvanse than off it..

I’m wondering if my autism is worsened by vyvanse since I know that can happen, I have felt myself unmask a LOT more since taking vyvanse. It’s getting to the point where I’m struggling a lot to cook myself food. making meals is the task I actually have started dreading the most, I’d rather do any other chore and it’s a problem because my diet is suffering.

I don’t know what to do. If I only had to focus on one thing all day I wouldn’t have any issue but switching from one task to another is so so hard!!! I don’t know what to do :( vyvanse is absolutely perfect for me other than this problem and it sucks that it’s such a big problem. I wonder if adderall would work better for me but tough shit because it’s not one of the adhd meds allowed in my country
