shortlisted?

Hello! I’m a freshman in college and I’ve been applying to some jobs around my school/area. Unfortunately, I have like no experience within retail which is what I applied for mainly. A company that I’d love to work for got back to me and my application as of right now says shortlisted. I was wondering roughly how long it takes to find out if I’ve been rejected or if I’ll get an interview, or even if getting shortlisted means I should lose most hope?
