Eshmel and Queerness in Fortune’s Weave

So as we’ve gotten character profiles for the cast of Fortune’s Weave there’s been a recurring trend of characters seemingly having their sexual preferences in their bios. Most of them being straight leaning, but with the notable exceptions of Leda (whose love of cute girls was cut from promotional material) and Fabio (who previewers said was hella gay for Dietrich almost universally) This would suggest that those characters would fall into a sexual orientation that their bios support, but this brings up a specific issue with regards to Eshmel.

We have hard confirmation that you can recustomize Eshmel during your run, which includes changing their body type/gender. Which would suggest that their supports are likely the same as well due to needing to avoid conflicting support ranks. Customization in general would also change how they’d likely handle the CGs at the end of the game for S/Bond/Raven Feather supports, likely following in Engage’s footsteps of making the CG a PoV shot from Eshmel’s perspective of the other character. This leads me to personally believe that they’ll likely also only write one version of each paired ending for each character to match the CG.

Now this doesn’t inherently mean the paired endings would be romantic (they could be platonic across both genders of Eshmel), but I think it’s likely that if there’s any queerness going on under the hood for some of these “straight” characters that Eshmel might show that‘s not the case.
