Need advice for myself and my partner!

We just received our claim being denied by insurance and one of the reasons given is that I'm not under the same insurance as her. We are unmarried and without getting into specifics, we are both dependents on our parent's insurance because it is 100× better. Is this common? We can't afford IVF without insurance so we don't know what to do and we have spent the last day and a half crying on and off. Any advice is greatly appreciated because no one understands outside of this reddit :( thank you!

info: I am going through a personal medical treatment that will render me sterile (you can probably guess) and while it is not right now, it needs to be in the next few years, so we don't have unlimited time.
