European Hut-to-Hut Hiking Routes Suggestions

Hello! My boyfriend and I have been discussing potential hut to hut hiking in the future for a bigger celebration/longer time off of work. We frequently hike, climb, bike, etc. so we’re in decent shape but have not done anything similar to a hut-to-hut route and would be considered beginners for that type of hike (he does a lot of backpacking/camping but I have not). We’ve heard of the Alta Via 1 and Tour du Mont Blanc of course but wanted other suggestions that people have tried and enjoyed. We are from the US so accessibility for international visitors would be nice to consider but we’re open to any ideas!

Also, a secondary question: is there any similar system in the US that anyone has tried? We’re from the east coast and are curious if there is any hut to hut trails that we could practice on before moving onto Europe. Thanks in advance :)
