Golden Scout: An early game specialist, with enough dps for it to act as a good mid-game dps, as well with having lead penetration which can be helpful on the modes like frost, pizza party, and both hardcore modes. Currently, the tower is nice to use and doesn't need any changes.

Golden Demoman: The first ever golden splash tower. the 7th golden tower, 6 years after Golden Soldier's addition. As with the tradition of splash towers, it automatically has lead penetration. Now, with a month or so after it's addition, I'm sure that the hatred against it is not as intense as it used to be on it's release. and besides, I think the tower is also nice to use. The biggest advantages of using this tower is that it doesn't get stunned. however, frost immunity is nowhere, so it'll get frozen if you do play in frost mode. It's a very nice tower to use, and I think it's one of the more underrated golden towers out there. it's stun immunity helps you out in late game, where stuns are more prevalent.

Golden Soldier: Probably the jack of all trades in the golden towers category. not the best in early, mid, and late game, however, can get you the job done. Can detect flying enemies, and converts it's weapon into full automatic after level 3. This tower can be a great sub-dps, regardless if the mode requires flying detection or not. it gets outshined by Golden Scout in early game, but can phase it out once the game transitions into the later waves. CAN get outshined by golden demoman due to it's stun immunity and splash capabilities, but if flying detection is the conversation, then golden soldier outclasses it. Still nice to use though.

Golden Pyromancer: Flamethrower but instead of normal colored flames, he emits piss colored flames. his flames last for 5 minutes in later levels, which effectively means they burn forever until they die or reach the end of the map. Has Hidden detection AND lead penetration. one of the best golden towers to use, and is great overall support tower. visually looks outdated, however.

Golden Crook Boss: Piss colored minions that pack quite the punch, an inferior kingpin, basically. But golden crook boss packs quite the punch, it's one of, if not, the strongest golden towers out there. very nice and easy to use. has hidden and flying detection, can damage leads through units (unreliable to use for primary lead dps). nice to use.

Golden Cowboy: I don't know what to say about this tower. niche is complex. It acts like farm but it can defend itself. I like the complexity of it. HOWEVER. the current state of not just golden cowboy, but the tower as a whole is very... underwhelming to say the least. they rightfully nerfed it's early game for being too powerful, but went overboard by making it unreliable in early game. the only thing i like about it's recent rebalance is that you'd gain more money in the later phase of the game. but overall, the rebalance made cowboy as a whole from a great tower to use, to just a very situational tower that even using it can make you lose. My favorite golden tower, however, it's just impractical to use most of the times. The only reason I love using it is that I love playing solo majority of the time. simply put, cowboy is a solo merchant.

Golden Minigunner: The most famous solo merchant dps of all time. But jokes aside. this tower is very goated for solo runs. Not the most efficient to use, but gets the job done, especially in solos, or even duos. past that, it's not the best option if you're looking for more dps. I don't like using it. but I do acknowledge that it's niche is very useful for solo players like me, ironically.

Next post, we're going to talk about the hardcore towers, which is more controversial due to a certain tower with an... interesting fanbase. anyways, what do you think, let me know in the comments down below. (DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT A RANKING OF THE GOLDEN TOWERS. THIS IS JUST WHAT I THINK OF THEIR USE, NICHE, AND CURRENT STATE.)

How and what I think about the golden towers' current niches and it's current state.
