AIO by not saying thank u to people who compliment my accent?

my name's Wraith (that's just a nickname that everyone calls me), im 19F, and i was born and raised in England and am currently studying abroad in the US. throughout my time here, so many people compliment my accent and voice on a daily basis. i have a very high pitched gentle voice and my british accent is very strong. i've been saying thanks to everyone for the longest time, but im now at the point where im so sick of ppl mentioning my accent and voice, so i just smile back and ignore their compliment.

and on the opposite side of the spectrum, i've also had ppl mock my accent and they also say the most stereotypical british phrases in a teasing way. i just immediately ignore their remarks and walk away.

idk why everyone makes such a big deal over how i speak, but AIO?
